February 2019 Recap!

February came and went so quickly! Check out the events I got to be a part of last month!

1. Kweichow Moutai Event at The Upper West (Santa Monica, CA) - @cns_imports (Guest of @wheresmyfork)

Kweichow Moutai, a famous spirit brand in China, hosted a Chinese New Year celebration at The Upper West. The drinks and food were delicious and the restaurant was very festive. Pictured are the Skinny Dragon and Red Lantern cocktails, Kweichow Moutai, Burrata, Goma Salad, Fried Sweet Potato, Wild Mushrooms, Roasted Broccoli, Soy Marinated Flatiron Steak, Shio Koji Chicken, and the Brioche Bread Pudding.

2. Pick Up Stix (Pasadena, CA) - @22stirs

Pick Up Stix launched their latest item, Crispy Honey Shrimp, for Lunar New Year. It was very delicious and it came with rice and veggies, and I made sure to get a few of their adorable fortune cookies for dessert!

3. The Pie Hole (Pasadena, CA) - @dogandaduck

We went to check out The Pie Hole’s flavors of the month, and got a few items: Raspberry Champagne and Strawberry Lavender Pie Holes, Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pie, Lonely Pie Mini, a Rose Latte, and a Spinach Mushroom Quiche. Everything was so cute and sweet, and perfect for Valentine’s Day. I loved the Pie Mini concept a lot so I hope they sell more flavors in that size in the future!

4. Public School Restaurant + Bar (Los Angeles, CA) - @dogandaduck

I visited Public School to check out a few menu items since I thoroughly enjoyed the happy hour menu from when I last went. I got the What Came First Burger, Bacon Cheddar Tots, Thyme after Thyme, and the Butterscotch Budino. As usual, the ambiance, food and hospitality here were great and I was happy with everything I tried.

5. Ku Ti Brunch and Grill (Westminster, CA) - @x3hoppie

A new spot opened in Garden Grove and they served Vietnamese fusion food as well as authentic dishes. I was very impressed with everything we tried, and I loved the decor and music at the restaurant. We got the Shrimp Paste on Sugarcane, Garlic Noodle with Shrimp, Grilled Scallop with Cheese, Salmon Spring Rolls, and Vietnamese Iced Coffee.
